Message From Chief Harding

“It has been my honor to serve as the Chief of Police for the past five years with the Poulsbo Police Department.  The men and women in our department are the finest people I have had the honor of working with in my 32 years in law enforcement.  It is heartwarming to realize that so many in the Poulsbo community also recognize this fact.  It is encouraging to hear from people how much they appreciate and admire the men and women who wear our uniform and who work in our administrative services. I was thrilled to learn there was a group of leaders in our business community that wanted to start a Poulsbo Police Foundation.  I have seen the positive effect such an entity can have in the life of a police department, and I know the Poulsbo Police Foundation will be a model for others to follow.  Knowing the kind of leaders involved in this effort, I am certain the impact on our department will be significant.   I believe the Foundation will accomplish its mission of developing into a strategic funding source for officer wellness, officer training and necessary equipment to make our amazing team even more effective in the years to come. I appreciate the Foundations efforts, and I hope many will support the foundation as they support us.”
